On Feb. 23, CBT community liaison Wayne Lundeberg presented a cheque for $10,000 to Pat Field, project manager of ScupltureWalk Castlegar. CBT’s contribution will support start-up costs of the project, as well as provide mentorship opportunities for participating artists.

“SculptureWalk Castlegar is an innovative approach to the revitalization of the downtown core of Castlegar,” said Lundeberg. “The project has strong community support and there is hope for this project to be expanded throughout the region.”

Launched in 2009, SculptureWalk Castlegar is an outdoor exhibit of original sculptures that will be displayed year-round in the downtown Castlegar, helping to achieve their vision of becoming the leading community in Canada for public art by 2015.
