Rape allegations recanted

Police have concluded their investigation into the allegations of a sexual assault that was said to have occurred in Millennium Park during the first week of October 2009. The 30-year-old female has admitted to investigators that the allegation she made to police was in fact false. There was no sexual assault. The RCMP are pleased that the female came forth and apologized for the false claim. Police will not be pursuing public mischief charges.
