TV entertainers to delight kids at local library

 Children’s entertainers from the TV show Down By The Docks will be sailing into the Castlegar Public Library on July 7 at 10 a.m.

Upon dropping anchor, Leroy The Lobster and friends from Down By The Docks will take you on a Jungle Safari to explore the Amazon, African and Asian jungles. Who knows what adventures await us when sail up the Amazon, walk through Africa or drive in Asia.

This is the 10th anniversary of Down By The Docks performing at libraries for the Summer Reading Club. Leroy The Lobster and his friends have enjoyed meeting kids of all ages across Canada and the Cayman Islands while presenting their many theme shows. The summer of 2010 will see Down By The Docks anchor in harbours all across Canada and the US.

This exciting event is part of the Library’s Summer Reading Club activities and events. Every week children can enjoy loads of lobstertastic fun at the library this summer whether it’s a storytime, crafts or special guests like Down By The Docks. All you have to do is visit your library to sign up for this exciting adventure.
