Police release name of man killed in Monday's collision

Polce have released the name of an 81-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries in hospital after a head-on collision near Fairview Monday.
Frederick William Pearce, of Trail, died from injuries sustained when the vehicle in which he was a passenger crossed the centre line of Highway 22 and hit a truck head-on.
The driver and one other passenger of the vehicle remain in hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the truck and the driver of another car, which was unable to stop in time and hit the truck from behind, were all sent to hospital, treated and released.
The investigation into the accident continues.
