RCMP release photo of suspect in counterfeit investigation

Police have released a photograph of a man they believe is connected with a recent rash of phoney $50US bills in Castlegar and Grand Forks – and they’re asking the public to come forward with any information.

“The Grand Forks and Castlegar RCMP would like to identify the man in these photos,” said RCMP Const. Menno Van Agteren

” He is associated to numerous attempts at passing counterfeit US $50 Bills in our region over the last few weeks.

“He has been described as being over 6′ tall and 30-40 yrs old. He is sometimes seen with a female, described as being in her early- to mid-20s (or older), about 5’3”, Caucasian with dark wavy hair.

“If anyone has any information about this person, please contact the Grand Forks RCMP at 250-442-8288, the Castlegar detachment at 250-365-7721 or  CrimeStoppers.
