Police are asking for the public’s assistance in another missing person case. 49-year-old Shawn McDonald has gone missing from Christina Lake where he has been living since September.  McDonald was last seen on Jan. 1 at 5:00 p.m. in Christina Lake and was reported missing on Jan. 3 to the Grand Forks RCMP detachment, explained Staff Sergeant Jim Harrison.  “His car is still behind, he left his wallet and everything else,” said Harrison. “He was living at the Lakeview Motel at Christina Lake. We’ve talked to his family and he hasn’t shown up. “  Harrison said that the Grand Forks Search and Rescue has been out since the report looking for the man along lakeshore, the Kettle River to the United States border, and the Trans Canada Trail. “There’s just no sign of him at all,” said Harrison.  McDonald is originally from Surrey, B.C. but has been moving around the province, added Harrison.  Last seen wearing a grey winter jacket, green or red toque, and sweat pants, McDonald is a Caucasian male with grey hair, hazel eyes and is 5 foot 11 inches tall weighing about 180 pounds.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Shawn McDonald please contact the Grand Forks RCMP at 250-442-8288.
