Jazz-ing up summer with a contest like no other
A chance to be live at one of the best outdoor music festivals on the continent is up for grabs as the calendar heads into the Canada Day weekend.
Kaslo Jazz Etc. Summer Music Festival — now in its 20th year (July 29-31) — has ignited the delight of a worldwide audience, with USA Today calling it one of the “Top 10 places to get in tune, be outdoors.”
The Nelson Daily, reaching 26,000 Nelson and area folks per month — and over 50,000 West Kootenay folk through the regional Lone Sheep network — is hoping to spread the word on the festival through an online contest, ending on Canada Day (this Friday, check your calendar).
The contest is simple: sign up for The Nelson Daily Facebook site as a member before Canada Day — you have to be a Facebook member — and then email us (editor@thenelsondaily.com) to enter your name into a draw to win two passes (good for any day) to the festival by the water’s edge in Kaslo.
If you don’t have a Facebook account, send us your name and we’ll still enter you in the draw.
Hosted by CBC Radio’s Saturday Night Blues’ Holger Peterson, the festival features David Gogo, Dan Mangan, the Jim Byrnes Band, Mark Hummel, Mr. Something Something and Delhi to Dublin.
