Roughly 220 fans showed up last night to watch the Rebels take the Kimberley Dynamiters 1-0, leaving the Rebels tied with Beaver Valley for second place in the Neil Murdoch Division.

The first period saw the game’s one and only goal scored by #7 Stuart Walton (assisted by #16 Anthony Delong) during a power play with 14 minutes left on the clock.  Plenty of action followed, but no goals, as the Rebels took seven penalties to the Dynamiters eight, with both teams seeming determined to shore up a lack of scoring with plenty of hits.  Despite out-shooting the Rebels with 22 shots on goal compared to Castlegar’s 19, then pulling their goalie for the final 27 seconds of play, the Dynamiters couldn’t knock it in the net and left the Complex scoreless.  The Rebels face off against the Osoyoos Coyotes at the Complex tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
