Nelson council re-visits city 'dog bylaw'

The ever contentious City of Nelson dog bylaw is back again in the news — but this time in a positive light as council considers changes.
City Council is hosting a special meeting Monday (February 18) at 3:30 p.m. in chambers to consider the Notice of Motion raised by Councillor Kozak at the last meeting (February 4).
During the discussion Kozak, made a proposal to lift current restrictions contained in the City’s existing bylaw pertaining to dogs in Nelson’s downtown core.
Council welcomes the public to join the “discussion on dogs” and hear more about the bylaw along with providing the elected officials feedback.
