The JUNO Awards are ready to cap off a weekend of entertainment Sunday evening on CTV with the annual ceremony.

This year the JUNO’S  have a bit of a Nelson Flavour with the John McCauig Band performing during JUNOFEST, the lead up to Sunday’s finale.

The JUNO Awards are presented annually to Canadian music artists  and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music.

The John McCuaid Band (TJMB) is  distinctive. Johnny brings bagpipes to a whole new level by playing them as a lead instrument; much like a guitar including all the effects, all while wearing a kilt!

TJMB is positive, on the edge (and sometimes over!), experimental, sexy and definitely something not to be missed.

With decades of touring experience this live show has bridged social gaps and brings fans of all ages together.

Appearances at The World Curling Champions, The JUNO’s, Grey Cup parties and Celtic Festivals abound has seen them tour coast to coast with stops in Mexico and The United States along the way.

These guys, who will be in the audience during Sunday’s award ceremony, know how to put on a performance that demands even the most skeptical of onlookers to take a step back and let themselves be engulfed in a truly memorable experience.

It’s not Celtic. It’s not Pop. It’s not Alternative. It’s everything.

It’s TJMB.
