Free course on coping with/caregiving for dementia

If you are helping to care for someone with dementia, you will be glad to know you’re not alone – Let us help, too!

The Alzheimer Society of BC is offering a practical, information rich workshop for those who are helping in the care of people with dementia of any kind. This three-part Family Caregivers’ Series at Robson Community School on Tuesday evenings, June 11, 18 and 25, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The course is free and will only be held if there is sufficient interest, so please call Julie at 250-365-6769 to register.

Included in the course will be education on all forms of dementia, strategies for communication and for dealing with difficult behaviours, as well as ways to keep the caregiver healthy.
