Car crash in front of airport not fatal
An accident in front of the airport this afternoon distressed many passing motorists, as they saw a tarp covering one of the drivers involved.
Castlegar fire chief Gerry Rempel said the tarp was not indicative of a fatality, but was, in fact, to protect the driver from broken glass and other shrapnel as first responders employed the Jaws of Life to extricate the man.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, one containing three people and one containing a single driver. Two people were transported to Trail hospital, and the other two were released on scene.
There is no word yet on the cause of the crash, or the condition of the two patients.
