Eager to go camping in the North Kootenay Lake region?

Campers, hikers and recreationists will be happy to know that the
Regional District of Central Kootenay has given the “all-clear” sign to re-open Glacier Creek Park Regional Park on Duncan Lake to the public.

“The RDCK is pleased to announce that access has been restored to Glacier Creek Park; we invite campers and outdoor enthusiasts to come and enjoy this beautiful area,” said Cary Gaynor, Parks Operations Supervisor for the Regional District of Central Kootenay.

Glacier Creek Park was closed on June 21 after flooding affected access to the park.

Flood waters destroyed access to Hamill Creek Bridge, forcing crews to re-build the roads leading to the bridge.
