The annual U19 Film Festival– celebrating the work of filmmakers under the age of 19 – is taking place this Saturday at the Miners Hall in Rossland.

Organized each year by the Rossland Arts Council, U19 brings together student filmmakers from across the West Kootenay to screen their short films for an enthusiastic audience.

Columbia Power is a sponsor of the festival each year and Sue Dyer, Columbia Power’s Vice President of Operations, met up with Rossland Arts Council President, Renate Fleming, and members of the U19 planning committee, filmmakers and festival volunteers to learn more about the event.
