The Sidney North Saanich RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Mikayla Savage.  Mikayla had been missing from Sidney since May 22.

Mikayla was located safely in the Okanagan Region of B.C. and police have no further concern for her safety or well being.  Mikayla has been in contact with her parents who are also grateful for the public’s assistance.

The public response from the Okanagan Region was overwhelming and was instrumental in bringing this investigation to conclusion and enabling the police, on behalf of Mikayla’s parents, to confirm her safety.

Previous story:

The Sidney North Saanich RCMP are making another appeal to the public for their assistance in locating 17-year-old Mikayla Savage, last seen by her family on May 22.

Possible sightings for Mikayla have ranged from Victoria to the Okanagan area of BC’s interior.

It is possible that Mikayla is willingly travelling with a companion and is not in need of assistance.  If this is the case, the Sidney North Saanich RCMP would like to speak with Mikayla to confirm her safety.

Mikayla is described as Caucasian, 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 90 pounds with brown hair that, when last seen, was in dread-locks.  Mikayla may also be in possession of a back pack and a guitar and may be associated to a male with a white Pitbull believed to be named “Popeye.”

Anyone with information about Mikayla Savage’s current location is asked to call Constable Kevin Shaw at 250-656-3931 or their local police department.

It is the hope, and request, of the Sidney North Saanich RCMP and Mikayla’s parents, that Mikayla make contact with them, or the police, to confirm her safety and open the lines of communication as the investigation moves forward to ensure her well-being.
