Fruitvale families are asked too be on the lookout for suspicious behaviour, according to RCMP Cpl. Mike Wilson.

“On Dec. 10, between 12 and 2:30 p.m., unknown person(s) broke into a family’s home on Mollar Road in Fruitvale.  The person(s) stole the family’s belongings, their Christmas presents, and maliciously damaged the interior of their home.

“The family reported that a stranger had knocked on their door the previous day, claiming to be looking for his friend.  It is not certain that the two events are related, but police are asking people to report any similar suspicious activities.

“Anyone with information regarding this break-in is encouraged to call the Trail and Greater District RCMP at 250-364-2566.”
