City of Trail phone lines down, repair underway right now

City of Trail phone lines continue to malfunction today, according to communications coordinator Andrea Jolly.

“The service provider is here right now, trying to fix the problem,” she said, adding there may be other organizations experiencing service issues. “We do have alternate phone numbers, and we’ll keep everyone updated (via the media and the city website).

A press release issued this morning provided more alternate contact options:

The City of Trail continues to experience a telephone service outage. Our service provider will continue to work on the issue today.   We will inform the public once this issue has been resolved.  In the meantime, please use the following alternate numbers:

  • City Hall, 250-231-5467
  • Public Works, 250-231-1477
  • Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre, 250-231-4804

We apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience as our telephone service provider continues to work on the issue.

CITY OF TRAIL TELEPHONE SERVICE OUTAGE

This notice is to inform all residents that the City of Trail is currently experiencing a telephone outage.  Our telephone service provider is currently working on the issue.   All City of Trail facilities (City Hall, Public Works, Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre, Trail Memorial Centre and the Trail Regional Airport Operations) are unable to receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls. If you have an emergency Public Works issue, please call the Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue Dispatch at 250-364-1737. We thank you for your patience during this time.
