Police seeking assistance to recover stolen boat

Police were called to investigate a boat stolen from a property on the 900 block of Waterloo Road.
The owner of a 2014 Xcursion pontoon boat discovered that his boat and trailer had been stolen off his property sometime during the night of Friday, Aug. 2. The boat is blue and grey in colour with a blue canvas travel cover. It has a Yamaha 115hp outboard motor attached.
“Castlegar RCMP are hoping that someone may have witnessed this boat being taken, towed, or used over the long weekend. Investigators would like to return the property to its rightful owner and identify the person(s) involved in this theft.” – says Cpl. Brett Turner.
