One person was killed in a single-vehicle MVI in the Gulch (Trail)  this morning, according to KBRFR Cpt. Glen Gallamore, who said the call came in at 9:15 a.m.

Seven firefighters responded, arriving on scene at 9:25 a.m.

“Trail Station 374 responded to a report of  single vehicle rollover on Hwy 3b below Annabel,” Gallamore said in a press release Friday afternoon. “One vehicle left the road and rolled down an embankment above the Bocce pits on Perdu St in the Gulch.”

He said the vehicle had only one occupant, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The highway was closed for two hours while RCMP Traffic Division and the BC Coroners investigated,” Gallamore added. “Alternating single lane traffic was in place until early afternoon for investigation and scene cleanup.”
