Three arrested, 560 plants seized in Salmo grow-op raid

Three people have been arrested after police raided a large marijuana grow op, according to Salmo top cop RCMP Cpl. Darryl Orr.

“On June 22, members of the Salmo RCMP Detachment executed a search warrant issued under the Cannabis Act at a residence on Vector Road in Salmo,” Orr said. “Three adults were located inside a large (marijuana) growing operation at the residence.

“Police located and seized 560 Marihuana plants from inside the residence. Charges of Production of Cannabis will be recommended against all three individuals arrested.

“Salmo RCMP members remain committed in their enforcement efforts against the illicit drug trade in our community.”

Orr said the three were all adults, two local and one from elswhere in B.C. 

Names will not be released until official charges are sworn.
