The Millennium Park ponds and washroom facilities will close for the season Monday, September 28.

With the increased popularity of Millennium Park & Ponds the City is upgrading the existing washroom facilities to include all-season washrooms, change-rooms and outdoor showers. It will feature a dedicated family/disabled accessible room as well as two additional family-focused rooms, one being a washroom and the other a change room. The exterior of the facility will feature three showers that can be used to rinse off sand after enjoying Millennium’s natural swimming ponds.

Construction will begin Monday, September 28 and is expected to be complete by spring 2021.

Millennium Park & Ponds covers a 23-hectare area on the beautiful sandy shores of the Columbia River near Castlegar’s downtown core and is a popular attraction for both residents and visitors.
