Arrow Flow Change Notification for Sept. 3 and 4

BC Hydro would like to notify the public that the discharge rates from Arrow Lakes Reservoir will increase noticeably on Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4:    

•At 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, flows will increase from 1,390 m3/s to 1,532 m3/s.

•At 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, flows will increase from 1,532 m3/s to 1,674 m3/s.

•At 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, flows will increase from 1,674 m3/s to 1,815 m3/s.

•At 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, flows will increase from 1,815 m3/s to 1,957 m3/s.

•At 7 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, flows will increase from 1,957 m3/s to 2,098 m3/s.

•At 8 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, flows will increase from 2,098 m3/s to 2,146 m3/s.

When combined with the outflows from the Kootenay River, Columbia River levels at Birchbank are expected to increase by 1.3 metres (4.3 feet). Please make safety your top priority when planning activities near the Columbia River.
