UPDATE: Missing Nelson woman located

Nelson Police is advising the public that the Nelson woman reported missing last week has been found.
Nelson Police said that 49-year-old Marieke Thiessen, who was last seen May 29th, was safely located Tuesday.
Nelson Police would like to thank the public with assisting in locating Marieke Thiessen.

Nelson Police is asking for public assistance in locating a 49-year-old Nelson woman.
Nelson Police said that Marieke Thiessen was last seen on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 in the Government Road area on the west side of the Heritage City.
Marieke Thiessen is:
- 49 years of age
- 5’5”, 121 pounds
- brown hair and hazel eyes
Nelson Police said Thiessen is potentially wearing a pink dress with a grey knitted sweatshirt over top, black leggings.
However Thiessen typically wears baggy dark clothing and a baseball cap.
