On Nov. 2, 2024, more than 70 Rotarians gathered at our new Confluence Centre in the heart of Castlegar to celebrate 25 years of serving our community.  There were a good number of charter members, many of whom are still very much involved with the club. The District Governors, both past and present, were also in attendance, along with our Mayor Maria McFaddin and the majority of our own club members.

There was a champagne toast to the club, there were speeches from our current president, Gordon Malcolm, and our current district governor, Lorne Westridge.  Our MC was Collin Ludwar, who kept the proceedings rolling along at a great pace.

We had a silent auction, which raised $1,800 for Rotary International Foundation, which is working very hard to eradicate Polio along with other major projects around the world.

We also had a walk down memory lane to reminisce on all the projects that we have been involved in, both locally and world wide.

Over the 25 years, we have been able to raise millions of dollars for those and other projects that we have been involved in, so it was a fantastic celebration of Rotary in Action.  A huge thanks to our sponsors Kootenay Market, Safeway and the Chamber of Commerce (New Confluence building) for your generous contribution and support to make this celebration a great success.
