Rebels sign goalie Hunter Edwards

The Castlegar Rebels were pleased to announce the signing of 2007-born goalie Hunter Edwards on Aug. 6.
Last season Edwards played for the Carrot River Outback Thunder in the Prairie Junior Hockey League. In 17 games, Edwards posted a record of 5-8-0-3 with a 4.78 goals against average and a .891 save percentage.
“Hunter is a hard-working, big framed (5-11, 207-pounds) goalie, who has a year of junior hockey experience under his belt,” said Rebels general manager Jesse Dorrans. “We feel he can come in and help stabilize our goaltending tandem for the season.”
Edwards was named the Thunder’s Goalie of the Year.
