TELUS Ambassadors give students the proper start with 'Kits for Kids' program'
The TELUS Community Ambassadors have been busy of late, raising money to support programs in and around the West Kootenay region.
“The TELUS Community Ambassadors are a group composed of present TELUS employees, retired TELUS and B.C. Tel employees and their spouses, who choose to join the Community Ambassadors as a means to contribute to their community,” said spokesperson Marge Witton.
“We use our time and resources to “Give Where We Live” – helping in our own community.”
The TELUS Community Ambassadors recently went back to school to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to make studies easier for students in the district unable to find resources to learn like other children.
The Ambassadors provided 270 backpacks to students in and aroundWest Kootenay and Boundary regions.
On “TELUS Day of Giving” Our “Kits for Kids” program ensures that all children from Kindergarten to Grade 12 have school supplies each year.
