Kootenay Savings hands out tens of thousands in grants to local non-profits

Twenty-four community organizations have benefited from Kootenay Savings Community Foundation grants, according to a press release issued this week. The release indicated $53, 060 was distributed to non-profits across the region.

“Since it was established in 2000, the Community Foundation has formed partnerships with hundreds of other local like-minded organizations and groups to leave lasting legacies in the Kootenays, investing close to $4 million dollars into worthwhile non-profit projects and initiatives,” the release said.

“These most recent grants, ranging from $400 to $6,000, will provide much-needed funding to 24 diverse and deserving community groups from throughout the region.
