A ‘significant’ amount of drugs have been confiscated after a bust in Edgewood today, according to RCMP Cpl. Jason Burndred.

“On Thursday, Feb. 11, the Nakusp RCMP executed a CDSA search warrant for an unlicenced grow operation in the Edgewood B.C. area,” Burndred said. “A 49-year-old male was arrested for production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.”

Burndred said there was no way this amount of drugs could have been for personal use.

“Nakusp RCMP seized 359 plants, 13.7 kilograms of marihuana bud, and 106.6 grams of hash,” he said, adding, “The street value is estimated at $ 70,000.”
