Area G Director Cunningham receives long-term service award

Regional District of Central Kootenay Director Hans Cunningham was recently honoured for his years of public service at the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Convention in Vancouver from September 18-22 in Vancouver.
The Electoral Area G Director, who attend the provincial conference with other RDCK board members, received a long-term service award for over 35 years of public service.
The UBCM Convention is an opportunity for Directors to collaborate with colleagues, meet with Provincial Ministers, and attend sessions on a variety of topics, including housing, climate action, decriminalization and public use of illegal drugs, wildfires, and using new technologies (artificial intelligence) in a local government setting.
The RDCK Electoral Area G includes the communities of Hall Siding, Ymir, Ross Spur, Airport Road, Erie, Porto Rico, Nelway and Salmo North.
