On Monday, Nov. 11,  at 6:20 a.m., Trail and Greater District RCMP, Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue, BC EHS, and YRB responded to a report that a transport truck had rolled over into the ditch on the side of Hwy 3B in Rossland, according to SCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

The 29-year-old Edmonton man driving the transport truck was apparently uninjured at the time of the incident. He reported that he lost control of his truck due to the icy slush on the surface of the highway. Fuel from the vehicle leaked onto the roadway which required a dedicated clean up by responders.

Trail RCMP, as well as other detachment, responded to other motor vehicle incidents over the weekend, believed to be associated to winter road conditions. Please drive according to conditions and make sure you have good winter tires on your vehicle,  Wicentowich said.
