Fat Tire Festival celebrates fun things on a bike

The 2011 Fat Tire Festival kicked off Friday and never stopped during the weekend as riders young and old tested their skills at a variety of events.
There were cross country races and dirt jams at the Rosemont Bike Park, a parade and criterium races Saturday evening on Baker Street and, of course, the big wind up Sunday at the former Morning Mountain Ski Hill in Blewett.
The Nelson Daily attended a few of the events, with camera in hand, to document some of the happenings.
As soon as organizers get us results, The Nelson Daily will have them posted.
