Highway 3 west of Keremeos has been closed due to a rock slide.

Emergency Crews and RCMP South Okanagan Traffic Services said the slide occurred eight kilometers west of Standing Rock, between Keremeos and Hedley BC.

The slide was reported at 12:25 p.m. Monday afternoon.

The Ministry of Highway and Infrastructure work crews are currently on route to the area to assess the slide that is reportedly 150 meters wide.
