January 7th, 2026
The Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association (KERPA) is thrilled to announce that Dr. Brock Browett, a dedicated resident physician and experienced paramedic, is joining the organization as an Emergency Response Physician in training.
Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Dr. Browett brings over a decade of frontline expertise as a licensed Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP). He has served in high-demand regions including Niagara and Hamilton, Ontario, as well as with the BC Ambulance Service. His distinguished EMS career includes leadership roles as a supervisor, participation on competition teams, and a commitment to excellence in emergency medical services.
Now a local resident in the Kootenays, Dr. Browett is eager to contribute to the region’s unique rural emergency challenges. “I’m excited to train with KERPA and bring my skills to support our community’s most critical calls,” said Dr. Browett.
KERPA, a volunteer-based charity that dispatches emergency response physicians to life-threatening 911 incidents across the Kootenay Region, looks forward to Dr. Browett’s contributions. “We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Browett,” said Dr. Nic Sparrow (founder & current Medical Director). “His extensive paramedic background and leadership experience will be invaluable as he trains and works to deliver critical emergency care helping patients and supporting the emergency services.”
