The site of the former Woodland Park school, where fire razed an abandoned primary school last month, is now fenced, and the owners are accepting quotes to have the debris cleaned up and removed, said city director of development services Phil Markin in an interview Tuesday.

Leo Bottos, project manager for Twin River Estates (owners of the Woodland Park property) said Wednesday that it’s difficult to say what the ultimate disposition of the property will be, given the current economic climate.

“I don’t think it has been decided yet whether it will be multi-family, or seniors housing, or … and market conditions are such that it is difficult to set a timeframe (on when development will begin),” he said. “It’s wide open in terms of what will happen. They (the owners) are still looking at options, and a lot depends on what the market will support.”

Police say there is no new information regarding the arrest of five youths in connection with the fire.
