It’s a few days and counting for the 2012 edition of the Starbelly Jam in beautiful Crawford Bay, B.C.

The annual celebration, which happens every year on the third full weekend of July, is celebrating its 13th festival —  this year July 20-22.

The music and other entertainment is soulfully eclectic, and this year will include funk,  world music, rock, hip-hop, reggae, blues, bluegrass, folk, jam bands and other acts that are a little harder to define.

There’s also entertainment and activities for children — who get in free if they are under age 13 and with an adult — making the Jam a a real family festival.

Add the always great selection of on-site food, a craft faire, free workshops, roaming jugglers and clowns, and more, and we have the cultural event of the year in our area.

Camping is available at several locations within a few minutes walk from the festival grounds, and there are other accommodations in the area. For more about the area and accommodation, please see our Visitor Information page.
