Kootenay Kannibelles fundraiser goes Saturday at former Extra Foods building

The Kootenay Kannibelles are off to the Roller Derby of Canada National tournament next month in Edmonton.

The women’s flat track roller derby teamf is hosting a Used Clothing and Good Sale Saturday from 1-4 p.m. at the former Extra Foods Building on Vernon Street in Nelson.

An array of items, from womens, mens, kids and baby clothes to toys, books, shoes, movies, kitchen stuff and sports gear are expected to be on sale.
Admission is $5 at the door with all items $5.

Cash transactions only.

The Kannibelles are gracious to all the items that have been donated.

Lola the Clown will be there from 1 -2 p.m. doing face painting for the young at heart.

All CRDI insured skaters are welcome to skate and join in the fun at the 3 p.m. scrimmage.

Anything not sold will be donated to a local thrift store.

The Kootenay Kannibelles qualified for the National tournament at the Western Canadian event held in 2012 in Nelson. Kootenay lost in the final to Vancouver.
